Chobe Princess Houseboat Safari

Chobe River, Botswana / Namibia
Duration2 or 3 nights (departs Mondays & Wednesdays for 2 nights, Fridays for 3 nights)

About the Adventure

Spend two or three nights living on the Chobe River aboard the Chobe Princess, an intimate all-suite houseboat that cruises the waterways bordering Chobe National Park. Each suite has its own private view of the river, so you wake to elephants on the banks and fall asleep to the sound of hippos. Days are built around the river: tender-boat game viewing along the park's edge, guided fishing for tiger fish, birding and relaxing on the sundeck, with a cultural tour of a local village included. Meals are prepared on board and served as the sun goes down over the floodplain. It's one of the most relaxed and immersive ways to experience Chobe, and an easy extension to a Victoria Falls trip.

Best time: May to October for dry-season riverfront game; year-round operation
